About Dwight Johnson

Whatever you do, no matter where you are in life, make the most of it and remember... WALK WITH SOULE!

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TAKE THE FIRST STEP.

Not trying is failing. Everything else is just practice. It’s OK if you mess up, that’s how you get wiser. Give yourself a break. And don't give up! Good things take time, and you're getting there, one step at a time.

Mr. Johnson spent forty-two years in the glass and curtainwall industry, in the later of his career he was managing and consulting on the installation and design of exterior façade systems for high rise towers. Dwight worked with some of the most prominent architects in the world. A few of the projects included the Red Building and Green Building at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, City Center in Las Vegas and 475 Park Avenue South in New York City.

Dwight’s life changed dramatically with the loss of his legs in two separate accidents. He had to learn how to walk all over again. Since Dwight was not one to sit around and feel sorry for himself, he kept pushing to recapture his life, he had water legs for surfing and blades for running, and got back to golfing. Dwight’s goal was to see everyone with prosthetics continue their lives and find their new normal.

Dwight was tired of people looking at his legs, so he went back to his artistic roots. He went and bought a pair of white shoes and different colors of paint to create the CRAZIEST pair of shoes, so people would stop looking at his legs and look at his shoes, and it worked! With the high demand of people wanting their own pair of shoes that reflected their personality, Dwight launched SOULE INNOVATIONS. He believed that everyone has a purpose and is unique in their own way and should express who they are.

Dwight continued to grow his shoe business along with speaking all over the country on major speaking platforms, including the worker’s comp industry, local schools, and partnered with local charities.

On March 2nd 2017, Dwight unexpectedly passed away at the age of 61 years old. His wife and 7 children launched THE SOULE FOUNDATION to continue Dwight’s Legacy of inspiring others and making a difference.
